Recently I watched the movie "83".
What a fantastic replay of the 1983 cricket world cup where India won and lifted the world cup for the very first time!
It brought me goose bumps to see the way the Indian team earned their trophy.
There were a lot of dialogs in that movie which inspired me, but,
One of my favourite dialogs from that movie -
"We may have gained Independence 35 years ago, but we haven't yet won respect"
It resonates a lot with what great leaders quote -
"It's not enough to get a seat in the important meetings. Being heard is when people have belief in your work and respect you for your thoughts"
Have any of you experienced this in your real-life?
Have any of you attended meetings where you had a strong point to tell, but no one really cared or asked you for your opinion?
Have you had a feeling of not being heard?
In most of the cases, the ball is in your court, it's only how you have played the game!
The main reason is -
not believing in yourself that you can do it
not believing that you can take control of a meeting and hence your life
not have the SELF-CONFIDENCE to do the right thing.
Believe me, the moment you take control of your life, everything falls into place.
As a coach, I work with clients to help them understand the value they can bring to the table by working on their self-confidence.
